This qualification is designed to help learners build the skills and gain knowledge of working as a senior practitioner within the health, social care and children and young people’s sectors, and the roles within them. Supporting and supervising staff in adults in health and social care environments, covering health care procedures, supporting individuals with their emotional and physical care meeting their daily living needs.
Social Care Assistant, Social Services Officer, Social Work Assistant, Social Care Assessor, Community Care / Support Officer, Care Assessment Officer, Brokerage Worker, Rehabilitation and Reablement Assistant, Independence Support Assistant, Reablement Support Workers / Officer, Telecare Assistant, Assistive Technology Co-ordinator / Officer.
You should be at least 18 years old and working.
|Credits required to complete
To gain this qualification, you must gain a minimum of 70 credits. 36 credits must be achieved from the Mandatory Group, A minimum of 6 credits from Optional Group A A minimum of 28 credits from Optional Group B. At least 55 credits must be achieved at Level 4 or above.

Using a range of methods your tutor or assessor will support you e.g. direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task set by CACHE, work products etc..

Yes, you will need to be volunteering, on practical placement or working to gather skills to demonstrate competence.
